– Op-Ed Contributor - The Kindle Swindle? - NYTimes.com Seriously?  Mr. Blount, the publishing world is changing.  Rather than whine about royalties you imagine you’re missing out on, why don’t you innovate some new ways to “to sustain book-writing as a viable occupation”...

What I really want to know is what impact all the publicity around this has had on their cable subs… I have to imagine it’s given their business at least a little lift. From The Business Insider (“but I don’t even know ‘er.” The puns just won’t stop).

Wow.  Governor Gramholm (D-MI) didn’t play enough Sim City as a kid… I hope nobody decides to press the natural disaster button… squashed: Apparently Michigan’s economy is now so spectacularly bad that some counties are unpaving roads. Since gravel roads are cheaper to maintain, some county roads are being chopped into gravel.

So what does it take to bring about revolution?
If it were closer to a 20 year election cycle instead of 4 here in the US, I suspect that there would have been FAR more interest in prosecuting articles of impeachment, or other constitutional or statutory remedies.   Creating a sense of urgency in a person is easy but creating that same sense of urgency in a diverse populace is quite another matter: it seems to take about 6 years if the recent...

I just got around to watching this on the DVR: Letterman does a GREAT job of interviewing him… John Stewart couldn’t have done it better.  Manages to hold his feet to the fire at the same time he pokes fun at his hair and his other personal absurdities. Long video, worth the time investment. Bummed that Letterman/Worldwide Pants hasn’t figured out how to let me embed this...
